Apple Crisp Recipe

 

Nothing says “wholesome autumn dessert” like an apple crisp! This recipe ups the nutrients (and deliciousness) of this classic dessert with it’s granola bar topping.

 

INGREDIENTS
5-7 apples (I used Granny Smith)
4 tbsp water
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 bag of Original Goodness Granola Bar Mix
1/2 cup of nut or seed butter (of your choice)
1/2 cup maple syrup
Dash of cinnamon

 

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the oven to 325°F. Combine the diced apples, water, maple syrup and cinnamon in a 10x10 inch or 9x13 inch pan.
2. Add 1/2 cup of nut or seed butter and 1/2 cup of maple syrup or honey to the granola bar mix and crumble over the apple filling.
3. Bake for approximately 30-40 minutes, until the apples are soft and the crumble is browning.
